This record has been enjoying insane pre-release hype, but it only takes a quick listen to the stream to know that the hype is more than well-deserved.

In ”New Day“, the new video from Australian dark-pop-ers Teenagersintokyo, Samantha Lim finds herself in a number of Hangover-esque questionable morning-after situations. Come on, girl! Shouldn’t you have developed some kind of “buddy system” by this point??

Desigual, the Barcelona-based apparel brand that staged the underwear video shoot we witnessed/photographed in Soho, just let us in on what they are up to. The video (supposedly to be released this week) will advance an NYC in-store event series called “Undie Party!”
“The first 100 people arriving at Desigual’s two New York City stores, wearing just their underwear, will walk out in a free Desigual outfit. (Soho location, 9-23; Fifth Avenue location, 9-28). A good deal for the threadbare—and brave!”

Röyksopp‘s short film for their new single, ”The Drug,” paints a fairly accurate picture of Detroit as we remember it.
... Though we were a tad bit disappointed that Eminem turned down the request to make a cameo and instead had to be replace with a white wolfy dog.

MIX TAPE: The Magician - “Magic Tape Two”
We were pretty hysterical when we found out that one of our favorite dream teams, Aeroplane, was breaking up. But after Vito and Stephan calmly explained to us that they would still remain good friends, that it wasn’t our fault, and that they still both loved us very much, we were able to collect ourselves and look past the tragedy to see the potential.
Today, that potential comes in the form of Stephan Fesano‘s solo side-project, The Magician, and the release of his impeccable ”Magic Tape Two“. The tape incorporates everything from current faves (Arcade Fire‘s ”Sprawl II“ and Mark Ronson‘s ”Bang Bang Bang“ ) to unexpected throwbacks (Stevie Nicks‘ ”Edge of Seventeen“ ).
We consider this a more than adequate consolation. At least, that’s what we tell our therapist…
